In order for USDA to continue to provide flexibilities to CACFP and other child nutrition programs, Congress needs to extend their authority to do so. FRAC put out a call to action to "urge members of Congress to extend the U.S. Department of Agriculture's child nutrition waiver authority into 2023" and to do it through the "upcoming appropriations package."
If Congress provides USDA the authority to extend waivers (or create new ones) to respond to the uncertainty we've been experiencing for the last two years, we can better pivot to continue running our programs smoothly and with integrity. You can tell your members to support this here.
